Job Summary

As a Shipping Retail Associate, you will be at the heart of our operations — greeting customers, assessing their shipping, packaging and business service needs, processing shipments, operating print/copy equipment, managing mail and retail supplies, and helping maintain a clean, organized store environment. You'll provide expert guidance on best value options and be responsible for delivering a seamless customer experience.

What you'll do

  • Greet customers promptly and determine their needs for shipping, packing, retail mailboxes, print/fax services.
  • Receive and process domestic and international shipments: weigh, manifest, label, pack, and dispatch.
  • Operate print/copy/fax equipment and advise customers on print services and products.
  • Process mailbox rentals, sort/route mail, and manage mailbox service operations.
  • Engage proactively with customers: identify value added services (upsell/cross‑sell) and communicate clearly the pricing/options.
  • Maintain and organize retail displays and shipping supplies; take inventory as needed.
  • Ensure a clean, safe and professional store environment: packing area, shipping counter, mail locker area, print area.
  • Handle end‑of‑day procedures (cash reconciliation, credit card settlements, inventory counts).
  • Be knowledgeable about our full range of services; offer solutions to customers' shipping, packaging, print or mailbox problems.
  • Lift and carry packages and/or supplies as required (~55  lbs frequently).
  • Schedule does in weekends, some holidays, opening or closing shifts depending on store schedule.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic qualifications

  • Previous retail, customer service or shipping/packaging experience preferred.
  • Strong computer/internet skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; good attention to detail; able to do basic math (weights, dimensions, pricing).
  • Ability to lift/carry up to ~55 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a retail environment.
  • Positive, friendly demeanor with strong service orientation.
  • Ability to negotiate multiple tasks, maintain organization, and solve problems on the fly.
  • Availability to work flexible schedule including Saturdays (and sometimes Sundays/late evenings) as store demands.
  • Reliable transportation and punctuality required.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly rate: $15-20(adjust based on location)
  • Overtime/holiday pay as required.
