Job Title: Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver

At In Demand Transportation Enterprises (IDTE), we provide dependable and compassionate non-emergency medical transportation services to individuals who need assistance getting to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other essential destinations. Our team is committed to ensuring the safe and timely transportation of our clients, and we are looking for reliable drivers to help us fulfill this mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely and responsibly operate a wheelchair-accessible van to transport clients to and from medical appointments.
  • Assist clients with mobility needs, including helping them board, secure wheelchairs, and exit the vehicle.
  • Ensure strict adherence to pick-up and drop-off schedules.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained vehicle at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients to ensure smooth operations.
  • Complete necessary paperwork, including trip logs and mileage reports, accurately and on time. (automated by the trip app if completed through the trips as intended not literally paperwork) -(app uses time stamps along the way during checkpoint in the process)

Key Qualifications:

  • Availability & Flexibility: Must have a flexible schedule, be available for varying shifts, and be able to work on short notice when needed.
  • Attendance & Punctuality: Excellent attendance and punctuality are critical to the success of this position. You must be reliable and consistently show up on time for your scheduled shifts.
  • Clean Driving Record: Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record with no more than three traffic violations in the last three years.
  • Drug-Free: Must be able to pass a drug test as part of the hiring process.
  • Ability to assist passengers with mobility needs and secure wheelchairs safely.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset.

Critical Qualifications (Non-Negotiable):

If you do not meet the following qualifications, please do not apply. These are essential for the role, and without them, this position will not be a fit.

  • Availability & Flexibility: You must be able to work varying shifts, including weekends and evenings. If you cannot be flexible with your schedule, this position is not for you. ( Although most of the time the trips are within common work hoursbetween Morning and afternoon. However we do get random off hours trips and somtimes short notice )
  • Punctuality & Attendance: You MUST be consistently punctual. If you have a history of attendance issues or are not reliable about showing up for your shifts, this role will not work for you. (time off must be communicated in advance,)
  • Clean Driving Record: If you have more than three traffic violations in the last three years, we are unable to consider your application.
  • Drug-Free: If you are unable to pass a drug test, please do not apply.
  • Commitment to Safety & Professionalism: This position requires a high standard of professionalism and a commitment to following safety guidelines.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
