We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in both static and/or rotating equipment to join our team of expert engineers. The ideal candidate is technically driven, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced consulting environment where innovation and precision meet real-world problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute projects involving design, analysis, and troubleshootingof static and rotating equipment such as compressors, turbines, pumps, pressure vessels, piping systems, and heat exchangers.
  • Perform advanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations to evaluate structural integrity, thermal performance, and fluid-structure interactions.
  • Conduct pipe stress analysis using recognized codes and tools to ensure compliance with ASME, API, and other industry standards.
  • Design and assess pressure vessels, exchangers, and mechanical systems in accordance with ASME Section VIII, API 617, API 610, B31.3, and related standards.
  • Perform detailed failure analysis and root cause investigations for mechanical and materials-related failures, providing actionable recommendations for design or operational improvements.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—mechanical, process, and materials engineers—to develop integrated solutions to client problems.
  • Prepare high-quality technical reports, present findings to clients, and lead discussions on project direction and recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (PE license preferred).
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in static and/or rotating equipment design, analysis, or failure investigation
  • Strong proficiency with FEA (ANSYS, Abaqus) and CFD (Fluent, CFX, or similar) tools.
  • Experience with pipe stress software (e.g., CAESAR II) and pressure vessel design tools (e.g., PV Elite).
  • Thorough understanding of major industry codes and standards (ASME, API, ANSI, NACE, TEMA).
  • Proven ability to perform failure analysis, fatigue assessment, and life prediction of critical components.
  • Excellent communication, report writing, and presentation skills.

Salary Commensurate With Experience: $130,000 to $185,000
