Weekend Part-Time Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Morris County, NJ

Position Overview

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you'll provide hands-on care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role focuses on promoting independence, dignity, and community inclusion.

It's an excellent opportunity for those pursuing a career in nursing, social work, psychology, special education, or human services.

Weekend Part-Time Direct Support Professional (DSP) Key Responsibilities:

  • Support individuals with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and personal care.
  • Accompany residents to appointments and community activities.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and other DSPs to create a safe and supportive environment.
  • Encourage independence, self-help skills, and personal growth.
  • Maintain professionalism and respect in all interactions.
  • Model compassion, patience, and positive communication.
  • Complete required documentation and follow ArcMorris and DDD guidelines.

Weekend Part-Time Direct Support Professional (DSP) Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid NJ Driver's License.
  • One year of experience in direct support or human services preferred.
  • Ability to commute to various group home locations in Morris County.
  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, dependable, and committed to helping others succeed.
