Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining a sterile environment. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, infection control practices, and various dental specialties.

Duties

  • Assist the surgeon during various surgical procedures by providing necessary instruments and supplies.
  • Prepare the operating room by ensuring all equipment is sterile and functioning properly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote patient safety and infection control.
  • Perform imaging tasks, including X-rays, as needed.
  • Utilize advanced technology such as 3D scanners and IOS to assist in surgical planning and execution.
  • Document patient information accurately, including medical history.
  • Collaborate with dental specialists in areas such as endodontics and prosthodontics to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Experience

Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience as a Surgical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with dental terminology and infection control protocols is essential.
  • Proficiency in using dental technology, including 3D scanners, is highly desirable.
  • A background in periodontology or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $35.00 per hour
