ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Implementation, Management & Operations

  • Responsible for supporting the smooth, effective, and successful functioning of RiseBoro programming at school-based sites; Ensure all academic, social, cultural, vocational and recreational components of program are implemented effectively, efficiently and consistently with curriculum;
  • Maintain required logs and program database(s) ensuring they are updated at all times;
  • Help create school-based program schedule and enroll participants in scheduled activities with deference to participant selected choice activities and performance targets;
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and supervision of special events, projects, and field trips;
  • Ensure that all school-based program performance targets are met & activities occur in accordance with the respective work plan(s);
  • Support budget and fiscal processing in accordance with programmatic needs, including tracking expenses, maintaining documentation, and assisting with purchasing and procurement;
  • Complete tasks deemed necessary by the Site Coordinator and Supervisors;
  • **During the months of July and August, the Program Coordinator role will transition to a position that is available and comparable in duties and responsibilities.

Administrative Support, Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure participant files are completed, regularly updated, and maintained in accordance with funding, SACC and DOH requirements;
  • Assist Site Coordinator in the completion of all required reports, including quarterly RiseBoro Board of Directors reports and required funder reports;
  • Attend required OCFS and DOH/SACC meetings, trainings, and conferences;
  • Complete 30 hours of required SACC trainings; maintain record of staff SACC training completion;
  • Work closely with RiseBoro administration providing information on any updated OCFS policies, new data, current trends, and program changes. Utilize formal program feedback to make improvements to program design.

Staff Supervision, Collaboration, and Development

  • Assist Site Coordinator with the hiring and supervision of all program staff and activities;
  • Assist Site Coordinator in scheduling and holding regular meetings with staff, partners, and key stake holders to ensure all services are being delivered in a quality manner at required service levels and support school day learning and overall academic success;
  • Assist with planning and conducting staff and program orientation sessions;

Participant and Family Engagement

  • Recruit and register middle school youth and ensure that all enrollment numbers are met;
  • Work with participants to quickly & appropriately resolve any incidents (medical or behavioral); Communicate with parents as necessary; Inform the Site Coordinator of any issues and provide written statements when necessary;
  • Convene regular focus groups and conduct surveys with parents/guardians and youth;

COMPETENCIES

  • Must have a passion for working with youth and be willing to go above and beyond program mandates for the benefit of the children.
  • Must be team-oriented, working well with others to inspire success.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
  • Must be extremely organized, detail-oriented and able to multitask, take initiative, have strong communication & writing skills, and work independently on tasks.
  • Must be able to effectively prioritize responsibilities, set and meet deadlines.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field preferred.
