Who we're looking for

Toyota's Enterprise Risk Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Sr. Operational Risk Analyst.

The primary responsibility of this role is to assist the Enterprise Risk Manager – Operations in implementing quantitative and qualitative measures of Operational Risk and Control assessment/testing.

Reporting to the Enterprise Risk Manager, the person in this role will support the ERM Ops department's objective to be effective as a second line of defense in risk mitigation.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop a thorough understanding of business process and controls at TMCC. 

  • Perform operational risk assessments and controls testing across all business partners at TMCC.

  • Engage with business partners to identify, document and manage issues/risk events.

  • Assess root causes for appropriateness and effectively challenge when necessary.

  • Proactive partner with process and control owners in developing testing plans for existing business areas and new areas that are brought in scope. 

  • Execute tests based on test plan for all applicable controls

  • Partner with Enterprise Risk manager and business process owner to evaluate errors and develop remediation action plans. 

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Information systems, or Computer Science or equivalent work experience

  • 4+ years of relevant experience performing risk assessments and controls assessment in accordance with industry standards.

  • A continuous improvement mindset, always seeking efficient pathways to improve risks and controls management.

  • Experience balancing assigned tasks based on priority and delivering timely

  • Ability to lead walkthrough meetings with relevant stakeholders to understand their processes

  • Ability to prepare and present status reports to management and executive level stakeholders

Added bonus if you have

  • Advanced degree: Masters

  • Experience with regulatory frameworks such as COSO, SOX, and COBIT

  • Proficiency in data analytics to drive informed decision-making and operational efficiency

  • Ability to assess risk, root cause analysis, and implement best practices

  • Experience leading initiatives and driving cross-functional collaboration

  • Additional Certifications: ex. CPA, CIA or CISA
