Purchasing, Procurement, and Accounts Receivable Coordinator

(Internal Title: Staff Accountant)

This role is internally classified as a Staff Accountant – Purchasing, Procurement, and AR, but is advertised as a Coordinator to clearly represent the functional focus for external applicants.

The Jaeb Center for Health Research is seeking an experienced Purchasing and Procurement and Accounts Receivable Coordinator. In the Purchasing/Procurement function, the role is responsible for ensuring that all required steps are completed and documented for transactions required to follow federal procurement rules and for overseeing the recording and posting of non-federal purchasing transactions. This includes responsibility as the primary author of organization and department level purchasing and procurement policies and procedures and service as the organization's primary expert on purchasing and procurement regulations.

In the Accounts Receivable function, the role is responsible for the generation, delivery, and collection of AR invoices and associated collection activities, production and maintenance of AR reports, AR month-end and year-end closing procedures, daily cash monitoring, and monthly reconciliation of bank statements. Other responsibilities include unclaimed property reporting to applicable states, supporting the Research Budget Reporting Manager in external financial reporting, preparing documents and collecting supporting documentation in support of internal and external audits, and project support including reconciliations/updates/corrections.

An associate degree (or higher) in accounting or closely related field is strongly preferred. Extensive, relevant experience, particularly in the area of federal procurement, may be substituted for education. Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills are required. Base salary will be commensurate with degree and experience and will also include an excellent benefits package but will fall in the $55,000 – $65,000 range. This is a fully remote, work-from-home position and as such, relocation to the Tampa Bay area is not a requirement.
