JOB TITLE:  Eligibility Specialist (Multiple Positions Open)

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Eligibility Specialist is responsible for reviewing applications for various public assistance programs and determining the eligibility of applicants and recipients. This role involves conducting interactive interviews, gathering and verifying information, and ensuring all application forms are completed accurately and in compliance with program requirements. The specialist may be required to follow up with applicants multiple times to obtain necessary documentation or clarification.

Hours:  8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Pay:  $18.62 per hour

Parking:  Lot (free)

Location:  Tucson & Phoenix

Type:  Temp-to-hire

Start date:  Immediately upon passing background

Duration:  Approximately 8 weeks and possible conversion to full-time employee

Benefits:  Available after eligibility period is met

Duties:

  • Review and process applications for public assistance programs.
  • Conduct interviews with applicants to gather required information.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of application forms and supporting documentation.
  • Determine eligibility based on established guidelines, policies, and regulations.
  • Follow up with applicants as needed to resolve missing or unclear information.
  • Maintain accurate records and case documentation.
  • Provide clear and professional communication to applicants regarding eligibility status and next steps.
