Full Job Description

As a Retail Sales Associate team member at La Belle French Bakery, you will represent our brand by delivering outstanding customer service and creating unforgettable coffee and pastry experiences for our guests. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about the craft of coffee making, providing exceptional and meaningful guest interactions, and fostering a warm, inviting atmosphere. Key responsibilities and essential duties include, but are not limited to, the following;

Retail/Barista Requirements:

• Customer Service Expertise: Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service and create positive guest experiences in a fast-paced environment.
• Barista Skills: Previous experience as a barista or a willingness to learn coffee-making techniques, including preparing espresso-based drinks to a high standard.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with others while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
• Attention to Detail: Commitment to quality and accuracy when preparing beverages, presenting pastries, and maintaining store cleanliness.
• Flexibility: Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and mornings as needed.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 pounds, and work in a physically active environment.
• Passion for Hospitality: Genuine enthusiasm for creating a welcoming atmosphere and representing the values of La Belle French Bakery.
• Food Safety Awareness: Basic knowledge of or willingness to learn food safety practices and hygiene standards.

Retail Sales Associate duties:

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures: Strict adherence to all La Belle SOPs to maintain consistency, quality, and a smooth workflow.
• Execute Daily Operations: Oversee and participate in the efficient day-to-day functioning of the store, including opening and closing procedures.
• Prepare Specialty Coffee Beverages: Craft high-quality espresso-based drinks and other beverages with precision, speed, and attention to detail.
• Fulfill Orders Promptly: Ensure accurate and timely order preparation for both retail and to-go customers, maintaining the highest quality standards.
• Deliver Exceptional Customer Service: Provide a warm, engaging, and memorable experience for every guest, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Maintain Store Cleanliness: Keep all areas of the store, including counters, seating areas, and restrooms, clean and organized throughout the day.
• Equipment Care and Maintenance: Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment to ensure proper functioning and longevity.
• Promote Retail Sales: Engage customers with product knowledge and enthusiasm, recommending pastries, coffee blends, and other retail items to enhance their experience.
• Collaborate with the Team: Work harmoniously with La Belle team to create a positive and productive environment, assisting others as needed to meet store goals.
