DepartmentUniversity Health Services (UHS)ResponsibilitiesProvides coordination, education, outreach and training for high-risk behavior prevention efforts including but not limited to alcohol and other drugs. Identify priorities based on data and evidence-based interventions. Uses a public health approach to plan, implement, and evaluate theory/evidence based, innovative programs that focus on individuals and their environment.Researches and develops resources for strategic efforts related to health and safety. Collaborates with staff in other health promotion and prevention areas as needed. Serves on related campus committees. Oversees the planning, implementation and evaluation of theory and evidence-based health promotion strategies, policies, programs and services related to wellness and risk management.Provides support for the collegiate recovery program including strategic planning; student programming; peer education; and the collegiate recovery space.Assists in the recruitment, training, and supervision of student volunteers and student-staff (peer educators, graduate assistants, interns, etc.).QualificationsBachelor's degree and three years experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to seven years.Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of the principles and practices of student program planning, development, and evaluation.Ability to utilize conflict resolution skills.Ability to train and supervise employees.Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.Contact InfoUHS HR Team - UHS-University InformationOne of the nation's elite research universities, Florida State University preserves, expands, and disseminates knowledge in the sciences, technology, arts, humanities, and professions, while embracing a philosophy of learning strongly rooted in the traditions of the liberal arts and critical thinking.
