Job Description
The Team:
The WMP team is responsible for managing Home-Office relationships with Invesco's largest Client Partners. My team is primarily responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with Wire houses and Global Banks. The team constructs business plans for Client Partners to achieve specific sales goals and platform placements for Invesco and negotiates favorable terms for doing business together.

About the Role:
The Senior Strategic Account Manager (SSAM) role is the entry point for managing client relationships with our most important strategic partner firms. The SSAM will be the lead relationship manager on the WMP "Client Engagement" team (Largest Client Partners), while potentially maintaining relationships with additional client partners. The role requires the successful candidate to be proficient in the Invesco product suites, product line operations, superior written and verbal communication skills which will be utilized with internal and external client partners. The SSAM will be an integral team member on the Client Engagement team and will lead the development and implementation of their client firm strategy and business plan activation to meet partnership sales objectives.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Leading a team across several departments to ensure adoption and execution of Client Engagement Strategy.
  • Primary support for WMP Client Engagement firms and potentially other Tier 2 and 3 firms.
  • The distribution and placement of IVZ products on client partner platforms.
  • The negotiation of business contracts and financial terms to support organic growth and advisor education with client partners.
  • Sales and Marketing of Invesco products to external and internal clients.
  • Maintaining working relationships with key stakeholders across Invesco.
  • Seeking out opportunities for product placement with client firms to expand Invesco's brand recognition and market share.
  • Continually developing themselves professionally and personally to perform this ever-evolving role.

Requirements of the role:

  • 5+ years of senior level account experience including experience covering Tier 1 accounts
  • 10+ years of experience and expertise in the Financial Services industry.
  • Experience across all products including Mutual Funds, ETFs, SMAs, and Private Markets.
  • Considerably strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Ability to solve complex problems or issues, using independent thought and judgement.
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills to maintain existing relationships in our industry.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills to manage complex partnerships.
  • Experience being an active participant on a team, ideally with a team of team's mindset.
  • Ability to manage projects from beginning to end with limited guidance.

The salary range for this position is $140,000 to $170,000/ year. The total compensation offered for this position includes salary and incentive pay and will vary based on skills, experience and location.
