Summary:
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will support business units by providing HR expertise and guidance on various HR functions including employee relations, staffing, performance management, and talent development. This role requires a collaborative approach to help align HR initiatives with the bank's strategic goals.
Responsibilities And Expectations
Key Responsibilities
Business Partnership
Partner with business units to understand their objectives and provide HR support to meet their needs. Assist in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with business goals. This will include but is not limited to executing employee engagement initiatives and recognition programs, interpreting HR scorecard results and offering solutions to address issues, assisting with workforce planning, and assisting with data-driven decision making.
Talent Acquisition
Assist hiring managers in the recruitment process, including job description refinements, location-specific skill requirement analysis, and assisting with in-person interviews and candidate selection and full-cycle onboarding. Support talent management activities such as career development and succession planning.
Employee Relations
Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with bank policies and legal requirements. Facilitate conflict resolution and promote a positive work environment. Work collaboratively with the Benefits Specialist in addressing FMLA, ADA and workers compensation matters.
Performance Management
Support the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and development plans. Provide coaching and support to managers and employees on performance-related issues.
HR Compliance
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Assist with the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures. Assist in the delivery of talent development programs, curriculum, and initiatives to all employees.
HR Projects and Initiatives
Participate in HR projects and initiatives, as assigned by the HR Director, aimed at improving HR processes and practices.
Mergers & Acquisitions
Serve as the HR resource and liaison to employees involved in M&A processes, as assigned by the HR Director.
Requirements
Required Skills & Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of progressive HR experience in an HRBP or similar role; additional directly relevant experience may be substituted for education.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, Adobe, and HRIS systems.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build effective relationships with managers and employees at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Responsible for understanding and following the applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations for their job responsibilities (employment laws, Bank Secrecy Act, etc).
- Travel is required, up to 20%.
