Located in Lawrence, KS, the center employs 400 professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and more, to provide quality, accessible, and innovative mental health care for children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The Bert Nash Center is committed to education and advocacy, strong community partnerships, and financial stability while operating under the guidance of a volunteer citizen board of directors.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Lawrence, KS, for a Mobile Response Team Crisis Specialist/Case Manager. The specialist will be responsible for providing immediate crisis intervention, conducting assessments, connecting clients with appropriate resources, and developing individualized crisis plans. Day-to-day tasks will include deploying to crisis situations, collaborating with other team members and community resources, documenting case activities, and providing follow-up support to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Strong crisis intervention and de-escalation skills
- Experience in conducting assessments and developing crisis plans
- Ability to connect clients with community resources and provide ongoing support
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Relevant qualifications such as a degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
- Experience working with diverse populations and cultural sensitivity
- Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) or similar credentials are preferred
- Flexibility to work on-site and respond to crises as they occur
