Be part of our team dedicated to helping people feel better and regaining their zest for life Be involved in patient care activities which may involve assisting with the needs and comfort of patients to include hygiene, activity, nutrition and treatments; therapeutic interactions with patients, patient safety rounds, vital signs, patient and belonging searches, patient transportation to tests/procedures, and gathering patient and family information.

Schedule

  • Part-time | 36 hours every two weeks
  • 12-hour day shift | 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
  • Every third weekend | Friday, Saturday, Sunday | Holiday rotation
  • St. Cloud Hospital | Adult Mental Health Unit | on-site

Pay and Benefits

  • Starting pay begins at $18.11 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience.
  • Pay range: $ $26.54 per hour
  • Earn extra pay for working evening, night, and weekend shifts.

  • $2,000 hiring bonus for eligible candidates

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
  • 2 years of college with courses in psychology, sociology, and/or social work preferred.
  • Six months experience in nursing assistant or similar role preferred.
  • Must be able to effectively handle escalating behavior and utilize physical safety holds with aggressive patients.
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) training initial and on-going training provided.

To be eligible for the hiring bonus you must be an external candidate who is hired into an eligible full or part time benefited position. Previous employees qualify if they have not worked for CentraCare for at least 9 months at the date of hire.
