Your Role
The Platform Engineering team is a technology innovation team focused on our Internal Development platform and related solutions. The Senior Manager, Platform Engineering will report to the Senior Director, Developer Experience. In this role you will Mentor and lead a consolidated effort to modernize our classic technical stack into a streamlined, highly self-service platform. You will also drive innovation with a well-considered "build vs buy" approach. Apply AI centric solutions as a force multiplier embedded throughout your teams. Responsibilities
Your Work
In this role, you will:
- Provide day-to-day oversight of a team of cloud engineers and managers
- Lead highly collaborative engagements cross functionally with engineers and leaders across the organization
- Invoke an "Everything As Code" philosophy for all strategic initiatives
- Provide code-first mentorship within your team and the broader organization
- Collaborate with peer organizations to design consensus-based engineering solutions
- Focus on platform stability and cost responsibility within your team
- Drive operational efficiency and technical excellence by leveraging well known success practices and industry standards.
- Champion AI augmented development patterns within your team.
Qualifications
Your Knowledge and Experience
- Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, management information system, or equivalent experience
- Requires at least 10 years of relevant experience
- Requires at least a minimum 4 years of experience managing divers functional technical teams
- Full stack competency in at least one OOP programming language (JAVA, Python, .NET, etc)
- Prefers at least 5 years of experience working within one of the three primary Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Prefers at least 5 years of experience working with container technologies and supporting tools (i.e. Docker, Podman, Kubernetes)
- Prefers at least 5 years of experience with IAC and Configuration Management tools

Two Ways of Working:
- Hybrid (Default): Work from a business unit-approved office at least two (2) times per month (for roles below Director-level) or once per week (for Director-level roles and above).Exceptions:
- Member-facing and approved out-of-state roles remain remote.
- Employees living more than 50 miles from their assigned offices are expected to work with their managers on a plan for periodic office visits.
- For employees with medical conditions that may impact their ability to work in-office, we are committed to engaging in an interactive process and providing reasonable accommodations to ensure their work environment is conducive to their success and well-being.
- On-Site: Work from a business unit-approved office an average of four (4) or more days a week.

Office Environment - roles involving part to full time schedule in Office Environment. Based in our physical offices and work from home office/deskwork - Activity level: Sedentary, frequency most of work day.
