Job Statement

Must be able to assist and help remedy electrical problems including, but not limited to, replacement and adjustment of components, integral units, motors, controls, etc. Installs panel controls, switches, air-conditioning systems, etc. in accordance with specifications, and/or schematic drawings.

Key Responsibilities and Accountability

Plant

  • Assist to maintain replacement parts inventory.
  • Observe and comply with safety precautions, utilizing extreme care on troubleshooting and repairs
  • Use appropriate test instruments and equipment to test and ensure compatibility and safety of all circuits, components, switches, controls, etc., to assure performance quality and operation.
  • Help repair and maintain all pieces of production equipment.
  • Help repair and maintain assets related to any BouMatic facility.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks on all equipment and facilities.
  • Maintain all documentation related to any maintenance tasks.
  • Work with operations personnel to ensure proper operation of equipment.
  • Follow all safety policies and codes as directed by the Safety Manager.
  • Perform any other related task as required.
  • Keep work area clean and orderly.

Maintenance

  • Repair and maintain buildings, facilities, all machines and equipment.
  • Responsible for the operation of a low-pressure boiler, plumbing, heating and ventilating systems.
  • Maintain buildings including repair of windows, doors, roof, floors, stairways; construct partitions, bins, racks; remove snow, cut grass, oil and lubricate machines and equipment.
  • Diagnose and remedy mechanical and minor electrical problems, repair and adjust a variety of machinery and equipment such as drill presses, lathes, punch presses, welders, grinders, shear-brake presses, vehicles, hoists, etc.
  • Work from drawings, sketches, blueprints, specifications, manuals, and verbal instructions.
  • Use micrometers, tape measures, scales, levels, squares, power bench tools, wrenches, carpentry tools, etc.
  • Keep the work area clean and orderly.

Relationships:

  • Reports to Operations Manager.
  • Works with operations personnel and safety team.

Physical & Environmental Requirements:

  • Has the ability to lift 75 pounds.
  • Environmental requirements include working indoors and outdoors in all kinds of weather.
  • Occasional travel for supplies

Technical/Job Skill Qualifications:

The candidates must meet the following qualifications, and have demonstrated the following technical or job skills:

  • Electrical, mechanical, and fluid power systems.
  • troubleshooting equipment problems to determine root cause.
  • reading electrical and fluid power schematics and mechanical blueprints.
  • prioritizing tasks in order of importance.
  • MiG and/or TiG welds.
  • ability to operate all maintenance shop tools and equipment.

  • good organizational skills.

  • a willingness to learn.
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to deal effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Interpersonal skills are required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $24.00 per hour
