WHAT WOULD YOU DO AS A MAINTENANCE PROJECT TECHNICIAN

As a new Maintenance Project Technician at Placon Corporation, you can expect an engaging and fast-paced daily routine. Your mornings will kick off with a team huddle, where you'll connect with colleagues to discuss ongoing projects and safety protocols. Throughout the day, you will perform regular inspections, troubleshoot equipment issues, and execute preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance of machinery. You'll be tasked with collaborating closely with engineering and production teams to address any immediate technical challenges, driving solutions that enhance operational efficiency.

Additionally, you will document and report your findings, contributing to continuous improvement efforts within the organization. Expect a 1st shift schedule that allows you to balance your personal life while being part of a high-performance culture that values innovation and excellence. WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

To excel as a Maintenance Project Technician at Placon Corporation, you will need a robust skill set tailored for the fast-evolving manufacturing environment. Proficiency with software and tools such as RS-Logix, Control Logix, and RS-View is essential, as these platforms form the backbone of our control systems. Experience with Indramat, Bosch, and Yaskawa drive programming and troubleshooting will empower you to effectively resolve technical issues. A self-driven attitude and the capacity to quickly learn new control and drive systems will set you apart, enabling you to adapt and innovate.

Project management skills are also crucial, allowing for efficient handling of multiple tasks and priorities. Strong verbal and written communication skills will help facilitate collaboration within teams, while your ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and PLC ladder logic programs will be instrumental in creating and implementing PLC programs that enhance our operational efficiency.
