Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Pre-K Lead Teacher to inspire and nurture our youngest learners. The hours for this position are Monday - Friday 8am-5pm and the rate of pay will be based on experience as a teacher and education level. Person MUST at a minimum have a CDA, an associates in ECE, or a bachelors in a related field.

Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, to support cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and creative activities tailored to preschool-aged children.
  • Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management strategies that promote respect, cooperation, and self-regulation.
  • Supervise classroom staff and assistants to ensure smooth daily operations while maintaining high standards of childcare and classroom management.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of lesson plans, attendance records, and incident reports in compliance with licensing regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities related to childhood development, curriculum innovation, classroom management techniques, and best practices in early childhood education.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom or daycare setting; prior preschool or private school experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to plan engaging lessons that meet diverse learner needs while adhering to state licensing requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, colleagues, and community partners.
  • Experience managing classrooms effectively to foster positive behavior and a productive learning environment.
  • Certification in early childhood education or equivalent credentials; additional training in special education or child welfare is advantageous.
  • Passion for nurturing young children's growth through innovative teaching practices that promote curiosity and independence.
