Job Description

As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Retail Full-Time in NEW YORK, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a premier retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while upholding our commitment to outstanding customer service. Your visible presence and professional demeanor will help create a welcoming environment for staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor for suspicious activity or individuals and report all incidents promptly according to site guidelines.
• Maintain a visible armed presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unauthorized actions within the retail environment.
• Interact professionally with clients, visitors, and employees, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and timely as directed by Allied Universal and client protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
