As an Allied Universal Security Officer focused on access control at a utilities location, you will monitor entrances and exits, verify credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a visible presence. You will conduct regular patrols of the site, provide clear communication, and deliver outstanding customer service to all visitors and personnel. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizing entry for employees, visitors, and/or contractors as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Report and document any incidents, irregularities, or security-related concerns to Allied Universal and location management as appropriate.
• Support site operations by assisting with visitor and contractor management following established protocols.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions while representing Allied Universal at the location.
• Stay alert to changing conditions and communicate any security-related issues promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Possession of a valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Experience working in environments with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
