The Opportunity
We are working with companies in Hudsonville that are adding Production Supervisors to their teams. These organizations value quality over speed in hiring. By connecting with us, you position yourself for opportunities that align with what you're looking for.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production operations and personnel to meet output targets and deadlines.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality standards and specifications for all manufactured products.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, company policies, and good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
- Monitor production schedules, workflow, and staffing levels to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of production line operators and technicians.
- Identify and troubleshoot production issues, implementing corrective actions promptly to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate production records and generate reports on performance metrics and quality control.
- Coordinate with maintenance, quality assurance, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Recommended Qualifications
- 3-5 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train, and manage a production team.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and quality control systems.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
Bonus Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent continuous improvement training
- Proficiency in a second language relevant to the local workforce
- Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies, automation, or robotics
- Familiarity with complex ERP/MES systems beyond basic user functions
