Position Overview
The HR Specialist will oversee and support daily HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, compliance, employee relations, and performance management. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a creative, fast-paced, and international environment.
You will serve as the bridge between management and team members — ensuring smooth communication, fostering a positive workplace culture, and helping our artists and staff thrive personally and professionally.

Key Responsibilities
• Recruitment & Onboarding
• Manage end-to-end recruitment for tattoo artists, piercers, and studio staff.
• Conduct interviews, verify credentials, and coordinate hiring across multiple locations.
• Develop and maintain artist portfolios and candidate databases.
• Lead onboarding programs and ensure new hires integrate seamlessly into studio culture.
• Employee Relations & Engagement
• Act as a trusted HR contact for employees regarding workplace concerns, benefits, and policies.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and creative work environment aligned with Cleopatra Ink values.
• Organize team-building activities, recognition programs, and wellness initiatives.
• HR Operations & Compliance
• Maintain and update employee records in compliance with U.S. labor laws.
• Oversee payroll coordination, time tracking, and benefits administration.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, health, and safety regulations in all studios.
• Assist with visa documentation or relocation support for international artists when needed.
• Performance & Development
• Support management with performance reviews, feedback sessions, and development plans.
• Identify training needs and coordinate skill enhancement opportunities.
• Help maintain consistency in culture and standards across all U.S. Cleopatra Ink locations.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3+ years of HR experience (preferably in retail, hospitality, beauty, or creative industries).
• Strong knowledge of U.S. labor laws, HR compliance, and best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working in a multicultural and artistic environment.
• Experience with HRIS or payroll software is a plus.
