Our construction subsidiary, Nazareth Construction, executes lead-safe and lead abatement rehabilitation projects across Northeast Ohio. We collaborate with city agencies, homeowners, and skilled tradespeople to create safer, healthier homes and stronger neighborhoods.
Position Overview
We're seeking a highly skilled, hands-on Construction Manager to lead small rehab crews in the field and coordinate residential construction projects from start to finish. This role blends technical oversight with community engagement, requiring strong leadership, time management, and a commitment to safety and equity. You'll work closely with our Rehab Specialist to ensure projects meet lead-safe standards, stay on schedule and budget, and reflect Nazareth's values in every interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Crew Leadership: Supervise and mentor small rehab teams on residential job sites
- Project Coordination: Manage scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow efficiency across multiple projects
- Lead-Safe Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to lead-safe work practices and abatement protocols
- Site Oversight: Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and enforce safety standards
- Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with homeowners, subcontractors, suppliers, and Nazareth management
- Technical Review: Interpret scopes of work, blueprints, and contracts to ensure alignment with project goals
- Estimating & Budgeting: Prepare accurate budgets and forecasts for upcoming rehab projects
- Professional Representation: Uphold Nazareth's values in all client and partner interactions
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential construction management or related field
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating and scheduling techniques
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Civil 3D, Primavera P6, ProCore)
- Excellent blueprint reading and technical interpretation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with crews and independently make field decisions
- Solid understanding of contracts and legal obligations in residential rehab
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred Skills
- Experience with federally funded housing programs or nonprofit construction
- Knowledge of Summit County housing codes and permitting processes
- EPA RRP certification or lead abatement experience
- OSHA 10/30 certification
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
