Our Christian school serves as an extension of the home, existing to support parents in their responsibility before God to enable each child to develop his or her full potential. It functions as a partnership with the parents to help equip the family in educating their children and reinforcing Christian principles in the spiritual, emotional, intellectual, physical, and social realms of the child.

Our curriculum is a combination of student and teacher led. Our staff works as a team to minister to families and disciple children.

Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Classroom Teacher. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment that supports the diverse needs of all children. Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a Positive Classroom Environment: Assist in developing a classroom atmosphere that is safe, inclusive, and conducive to learning for all children.
  • Classroom Management: Support effective classroom behavior management through positive reinforcement strategies that encourage and reward good conduct.
  • Build Relationships: Foster strong, collaborative relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to enhance the educational experience and support each child's development.

Maintain Classroom Order: Ensure a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment that promotes learning and exploration.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a follower of Christ and actively attend or serve in a Bible-believing church.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Completion of 12 units of Child Development or ECE with the following classes: **Child and Human Development, **Child, Family, Community, **Infant and Toddler Development, **One curriculum course. Additional courses are a plus **Anyone without these units will not be considered.
  • A strong background in early childhood education principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in literacy education techniques tailored for preschool learners.
  • Experience working with children requiring special education support is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of effective classroom management strategies to maintain an orderly learning environment.
  • Ability to engage children through creative play and structured activities.
  • Familiarity with behavior management techniques that foster positive interactions among young children.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and staff.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive atmosphere that celebrates diversity within the classroom.
