They are seeking a
Senior Manager of Technical Accounting
to join a collaborative, high-performing finance team supporting complex transactions across acquisitions, investments, and joint ventures. This role reports to the Vice President of Transaction Accounting, a technically strong and people-focused leader, and will oversee 1 to 2 direct reports.

The Opportunity

As the Senior Manager of Technical Accounting, you'll play a key role in supporting and advising on complex transactions, from acquisitions and structured investments to joint ventures and preferred equity deals. This position offers exposure to technical accounting, valuations, and SEC reporting while providing strong visibility across the organization. You'll also be part of a tight-knit, specialized team that values career growth, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Development Finance and Structured Transactions teams to evaluate potential deals, acquisitions, and investments.
  • Perform complex accounting research and prepare technical accounting memos under U.S. GAAP and SEC guidelines.
  • Provide accounting guidance on new contracts, joint ventures, and other transactions.
  • Oversee the allocation of purchase prices and review valuation analyses.
  • Review quarterly fair value updates and contingent consideration arrangements.
  • Support external audit requests and technical accounting conclusions.
  • Mentor and lead team members while fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

Qualifications

  • CPA required
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting
  • Prior Big 4 or Tier 2 public accounting experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in technical accounting and complex transactions
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
  • Experience working for a large SEC-registered public company
