Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with the kitchen and bar staff
  • Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
  • Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while adhering to proper food safety and sanitation protocols
  • Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to ensure a safe and inviting environment
  • Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating arrangements and optimize guest flow
  • Demonstrate excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere in both fine dining settings and lively nightclubs

Skills

  • Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
  • Strong knowledge of POS TOAST, or similar platforms
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
  • Ability to manage time effectively during busy hours while multitasking seamlessly
  • Experience with food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety standards
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and order calculations
  • Familiarity with upselling techniques to enhance sales and guest satisfaction
  • Previous host/host or serving experience preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
  • Knowledge of food industry terminology including food preparation, menu items, and beverage options
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends in fast-paced environments
