The CNC Operator performs CNC setup, operations, and maintenance, and possesses a basic understanding of CNC machines. The position involves machining parts to precise tolerances and specifications while strictly adhering to safety and procedural guidelines. The CNC Operator can work consistently, quickly, and accurately without compromising quality and production standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of production instructions, processes, and procedures, including interpreting and translating engineering designs and documentation.
  • Set up and operate CNC Machines, including lathes, mills, punch presses, and grinders, to produce parts according to blueprints, specifications, and holding of part tolerances.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of basic fixtures, changing fixtures, tooling, and tooling offsets.
  • Understanding G and M Codes and making necessary edits for speeds and feeds.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools such as mics and calipers to ensure that parts meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Collaborates with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to resolve technical issues and improve production processes.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly working environment.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Good handeye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Basic math skills along with mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and follow verbal and written directions.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Working Environment
  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and temperature variations.
  • Walking or standing on the Plant floor.
  • Frequently required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without help.
Required Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Three or more years of CNC machine operations in a manufacturing environment.
