Vitalant is seeking a
Business Applications Specialist
dedicated to making a positive difference. This position requires you to be a self-starter, able to work independently as well as within a team. Ideal candidates will serve as an internal consultant to resolve functional problems, support the design, testing, and implementation phases of system and upgrade project, implement improvement to application usage or process.
Your impact as a Business Applications Specialist is vital.
You will actively contribute to supporting Vitalant's life-saving mission by maintaining departmental tools.

Must be able to work Mon - Fri 8:30 – 5:00 AZ time, (hours may vary based on business needs).

As a Business Applications Specialist you will be able to:
- Maintain assigned software applications to meet evolving business and user needs.
- Interface with other project staff to ensure project completion (e.g., shares knowledge, ensures effective communication.
- Perform all customer contact center systems performance reviews and assessment of impact to operations.
- Comply with change control processes through project completion.
- Develop test plans. Execute and review test plans for customer contact center systems & applications.
- Coordinate and interface with vendors to ensure business needs are met.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- One year of specific business applications experience required including:
- Integrated system upgrades, requirements definition, unit/functional/system integration testing.
- Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze functional problems and develop sound and cost-effective solutions.
- Planning, organizational, analytical, problem solving and prioritizing skills.
- Ability to organize a diversified and heavy workload.
- Ability to make sound decisions and work well under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management and provide consistently high levels of customer service.
- Must maintain confidentiality.
- Strong computer skills.

Vitalant is one of the nation's largest nonprofit blood and biotherapies healthcare organizations, providing hospitals and patients across the U.S. a safe blood supply, specialized laboratory services, transfusion medicine expertise and world-renowned research. We have a network of 115 donation centers across the U.S. and host approximately 60,000 blood drives annually. Vitalant provides blood and special services to patients in more than 900 hospitals across the U.S. where millions of people depend on blood donations from our generous donors.
