We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians in the care and treatment of animals. Duties

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
  • Perform routine laboratory tests and analyze samples.
  • Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
  • Maintain accurate medical records for each patient.
  • Prepare animals for surgery, including anesthesia monitoring.
  • Provide post-operative care and educate pet owners on follow-up care.
  • Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic or hospital environment.
  • Stay current with veterinary technology advancements and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in animal care, preferably as a Veterinary Technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and dental terminology.
  • Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment.
  • Experience with dog handling and training is a plus; equine experience is desirable.
  • Proficiency in X-ray techniques and equipment operation is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A compassionate approach towards animal care with a strong commitment to their welfare.
