Duties
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and analyze samples.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
- Maintain accurate medical records for each patient.
- Prepare animals for surgery, including anesthesia monitoring.
- Provide post-operative care and educate pet owners on follow-up care.
- Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic or hospital environment.
- Stay current with veterinary technology advancements and best practices.
- Proven experience in animal care, preferably as a Veterinary Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and dental terminology.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment.
- Experience with dog handling and training is a plus; equine experience is desirable.
- Proficiency in X-ray techniques and equipment operation is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A compassionate approach towards animal care with a strong commitment to their welfare.
