POSITION SUMMARY:

Manage and oversee field operations. Responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control and safety measures as established and set for the BATS Sanitation's Employee Manuals. Ensure safe and efficient operations by: 1) Training and annual retraining of field personnel; 2) Setting the example for following safety protocols, and 3) Identifying opportunities to improve ongoing sage and efficient operations. Serve as a company representative regarding federal and state Motor Carrier regulatory issues. Enhance operational procedures, systems, and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes and enhanced management reporting. Ongoing identification of opportunities for process improvement. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with BATS Sanitation's policies, procedures, and applicable laws.

DUTIES:

Field Personal/Route Supervisor

  • Oversee initial training and annual retraining of all field personnel.
  • Evaluate and authorize new field personnel to operate BATS Sanitation vehicles without supervision.
  • Perform annual field personnel evaluations.
  • Recruit, train, assign, schedule, and serve as a peer coach for all technicians.
  • Communicate job expectations.
  • Meet or exceed operations labor budget expectations (time keeping)
  • .Weekly review of routes with a focus on accuracy and productivity.
  • Perform regular ride-along.
  • Review Samsara reports and reviews each day.

Safety/Fleet

  • Conduct monthly safety meetings.
  • Conduct tailgate safety meetings as appropriate.
  • First contact for all accidents, incidents, and near-misses.
  • Conduct root cause investigations and implement changes to mitigate future occurrences.
  • Run a safe, injury/accident-free workplace.
  • Responsible for new vehicle and annual fleet inspections.
  • Perform regular analysis of rental inventory utilization to ensure we are purchasing the right equipment and minimizing costs.
  • Work closely with the president and management team to set/streamline and implement policies, procedures, and systems.

Warehouse/Yard

  • Analyzes daily product and supply levels to anticipate replenishments.
  • Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of all Sanitation rentals including all necessary repairs.
  • Cleaning and maintenance of all Sanitation rentals including all necessary repairs.
  • Oversees the security of the yard with the proper use of the alarm system equipment.
  • Replenish the locker rooms and trucks for next day services.
  • Responsible for maintaining the red/black books for all trucks.
  • Issues equipment to new hires or as needed by team members.
  • Planning, coordinating, and monitoring the delivery of supplies.
  • Having a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse can align to contribute to these.
  • Streamline processes to ensure adequate space usage and productivity.
  • Flexible hours to meet the needs of daily routes (may vary with season – this job may also be a night shift & may vary depending on the busy season).
  • Be able to take emergency calls as needed at any time in the day (and possibly night).

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma

LANGUAGE

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred

EXPERIENCE

  • At least 5 years of Manager or Supervisor experience in an operations role
  • Experience in the Sanitation/Portable bathrooms industry
  • English and Spanish skills must be proficient to understand, read, write, and speak
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Sit for prolonged periods of time
