Job Description:
- Responsible for the management and successful growth of selling Sonobond's ultrasonic metal welding equipment. This will involve developing and influencing the design engineering people and co-ordinate data and information flow between customers, engineering, customer service to ensure that there is an effective link between Sonobond's customers.
- Provide consultative pre-sales support: assess customer welding requirements, recommend appropriate equipment configurations and guide on suitability for their materials and processes.
- Work with customers through quoting, technical evaluations (e.g. sample weld viability testing), and purchase negotiations.
- Maintain and develop a customer pipeline: identify new business opportunities in appropriate sectors (automotive, electronics, battery manufacturing, HVAC, etc.), follow up on leads, and manage relationships.
- Provide after-sale support with internal technical/service teams — ensuring proper installation, tooling design/customization, and ongoing technical support.
Requirements
:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, materials science, or a related technical field is strongly preferred.
- 5yrs+ prior experience selling industrial/manufacturing equipment — ideally welding or metal-working machinery.
- Familiarity with welding / metal joining processes, especially ultrasonic metal welding or other welding methods; prior hands-on welding or technical experience is a strong advantage.
- Customer-oriented, consultative sales skills — comfortable assessing customers' manufacturing challenges and recommending equipment/solutions that match their needs.
- Ability to travel —site visits to customer plants for demos, evaluations, installations, or support. Domestic and international.
