Preschool Three-Year Old Teacher, BA in ECE Required

New Hope Academy is an expeditionary learning school, (PreK-12th grade) located on a lovely wooded 8-acre campus. It has a strong character education program, small class size, and excellent academic and discipline standards. We emphasize STEM coupled with the arts and have many innovative classes and programs. It's a great place to teach and work. Religion is not taught but a free expression of faith is encouraged. NHA is a multi-faith environment: Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist etc.. This is an excellent job for a parent who wants their child to have a NHA education; large tuition discounts for full time staff with dependent children.

Teachers are the very backbone of everything NHA accomplishes. We are seeking an effective and dedicated educator committed to the mission of New Hope Academy, focused on building relationships with students, and being accountable for their student's academic growth and the school's success. Classes closed at 21 students.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF TEACHERS

  • Set and reinforce clear expectations and routines that are aligned with the school's overall vision and future program goals, to create a warm embracive atmosphere and school culture.
  • Make learning fun, and teach through play in the Preschool.
  • Thoughtfully plan daily lessons and implement specific curriculum: Saxon Pre-math, Handwriting Without Tears, Jolly Phonics, Creative Curriculum and Hands on Science to meet the needs of all students, including addressing the needs of gifted and 504 Plan students.
  • An ideal candidate thrives in cooperative work environments and enjoys being a part of a creative team. They are accountable for their actions and model characteristics that enlighten students about the beauty of how people express their faith, rather than focus on a particular religion or point of view.

Pay: $ $26.00 per hour
