What you'll do
- Collaborate with the owner and Head Chef to execute and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends
- Train/Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to foster a positive and productive work environment
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality across all dishes
- Manage inventory control and food handling practices to minimize waste and ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Coordinate events and banquet services, ensuring seamless execution from preparation to service
- Assist in shift management by scheduling staff and delegating tasks effectively during peak service times
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization within the kitchen area
Basic qualifications
- Proven experience in a culinary role within a fine dining or high-volume restaurant setting
Preferred qualifications
- Banquet experience with a strong understanding of catering operations
- Supervising experience that demonstrates effective team management skills
- Knowledge of dietary department practices for accommodating special dietary needs
- Strong background in food service management, including menu planning and kitchen management
- Familiarity with bartending practices is a plus
