- Knowledge of location and activity recognition technologies, especially on mobile devices (iOS or Android.)

In this role, you will work with local and remote teams across Google, to enable more accurate, reliable, timely and power efficient location experiences, across the Android ecosystem, and Pixel devices. You'll use Google's extensive development tools, to build and extend the end user experience of using Location on Android, all the way from external user interfaces, to ML-algorithm development on server and client, to improvements in internal custom tooling and visualization.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Develop new algorithms, and update existing software, with good integration testing, documentation in alignment with organizational goals, enabling new and more reliable end-user location experiences.
- Maintain and improve Android and Google Play Services Location core OS software, various client side apps, and server side tools and systems to measure, analyze, visualize, and automate root cause analysis of issues and potential improvements for end user location experience.
- Improve software systems in alignment with evolving best practices across the Android Location and adjacent organizations.
- Integrate rapidly evolving LLM/AI systems into relevant systems, from ML algorithm improvements, to optimizing development velocity across a broad organization.
