is a forward-thinking Managed Service IT Provider (MSP) based in Lafayette, LA. As we expand our market presence across South Louisiana, we're seeking a dynamic Business Development Representative to join our team and drive growth through strategic outreach and relationship-building.
As a Business Development Representative, you'll be the face of InfoTech Solutions in the marketplace—creating awareness, nurturing prospects, and forging new relationships to generate business opportunities. You'll be responsible for both inbound and outbound sales activities, collaborating with internal teams, and executing strategies that lead to measurable growth in sales and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage the sales cycle for inbound and outbound prospects.
· Strategically identify target partners through account mapping, industry research, and understanding how our value propositions will benefit our ideal partner profiles.
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities for managed services through cold calls, outbound outreach, referrals, marketing campaigns, social media, trade shows, and networking events.
· Respond to inbound inquiries and re-engage dormant contacts with tailored strategies.
· Present tailored managed services solutions and articulate the long-term value of partnering with InfoTech. Conduct discovery meetings to understand prospective clients' business needs and IT challenges.
· Partner with the VCIO and technical experts to conduct deep-dive meetings with prospective clients and proposal design to align InfoTech's solutions with the client's unique business and IT challenges.
· Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and internal initiatives to align sales efforts.
· Utilize CRM tools to track performance, manage opportunities, and forecast daily activities.
What We're Looking For
· A bachelor's degree in business, IT, or a related field.
· At least 3 years of experience in tech or IT sales—bonus points for a background in managed services.
· A history of consistently hitting or surpassing sales goals.
· Solid grasp of IT offerings like cloud computing, cybersecurity, networking, and technical support.
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and negotiate effectively.
· Talent for building trust with clients and working seamlessly across departments.
· Highly motivated and adaptable—comfortable juggling priorities in a fast-moving environment.
· Hands-on experience with CRM platforms and data-driven sales tools.
