Description
Vice President of Revenue Cycle
Vierra Management is seeking a Vice President of Revenue Cycle to join our dynamic team The Vice President (VP) of Revenue Cycle Management designs, implements, and leads enterprise-wide revenue cycle strategy to maximize reimbursement, optimize cash flow, and ensure the financial performance and profitability of Avante practices. The VP is responsible for end-to-end revenue cycle operations, regulatory and payer compliance, KPI reporting, continuous process improvement, and the leadership and development of the revenue cycle team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Lead the design and execution of a comprehensive, company-wide revenue cycle strategy.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the revenue cycle function to ensure efficient billing, collections, and cash management.
- Produce accurate, timely billing and collection reports to support executive decision making.
- Monitor billing and claims collection performance; proactively brief leadership on trends, issues, and opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and maintain current knowledge of payer reimbursement requirements.
- Drive revenue cycle process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Implement and maintain a metric-driven management approach; define, monitor, and report KPIs and scorecards.
- Analyze A/R, denials, and collection metrics to optimize workflows and improve collections.
- Maintain and strengthen payer relationships; routinely meet with payers to resolve issues and negotiate as needed.
- Act to minimize claim rejections and denials, and lead initiatives to maximize timely reimbursement.
- Ensure the revenue cycle department operates with appropriate internal controls, policies, and procedures; create and implement accounting/process improvements.
- Resolve complex billing and claims issues, including authorization denials, claim rejections, and denials.
- Provide direct supervision, coaching, onboarding, and ongoing training for assigned staff to deliver high-quality service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field required.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in healthcare revenue cycle management.
- Demonstrated senior operational leadership experience in a large or complex organization with multiple locations and matrix responsibilities.
- Proven experience developing and managing scorecards and metric-driven operations.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, strong judgment, planning skills, and a track record of achieving results and developing people.
- Comfortable and successful working within a metric-driven healthcare delivery system.
