We are seeking a dedicated, energetic, reliable and detail-oriented Food Preparation Team Member to join our culinary team that builds Charcuterie Boards and Boxes for clients. In this role, you will play a vital part in food cleaning and preparation, ensuring that all food items are prepared safely and efficiently. You will work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the overall success of our kitchen operations while adhering to food safety standards.

Low customer interaction, most orders are received online however must be comfortable to greet and help customers choose the best solution for their event or party.

Not a smelly or greasy environment, we do bake our own bread, cookies, dessert loaves using a simple table top oven. Our typical weekly open hours are 10am-5pm Tuesday through Saturday. Must be able to work on Saturday.

Daily Duties

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
  • Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from build sheets and others on the team.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment - help is readily available from the rest of the team.
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as knives, mixers, and a small counter top ovens safely and effectively.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service and quality food presentation.
  • Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
  • Could go on delivery orders with company vehicle.
  • Extra hours are available as well for wedding shows or other events that occur after hours.

Experience

  • Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is a bonus but not required.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and meal preparation techniques is a bonus but not required.
  • Comfortable with culinary skills, including knife handling and basic preparation methods is expected, training will be provided.
  • Experience in catering services is a plus.
  • A passion for a willingness to learn new skills in a dynamic kitchen environment is a plus.
  • Use Toast system to input phone or occasional walk in orders, easy system, training will be provided.
  • Social media savvy is a plus, help to take pictures, videos and post to the stores social media platforms to generate interest.
