Job Description

  • Requirement: must have FinTech domain experience.
  • We are seeking a Senior SDET with strong experience in the FinTech domain to support a major initiative focused on strengthening automation coverage and improving overall testing maturity.
  • This position will help build a scalable automation layer that integrates smoothly with CI/CD pipelines.
  • You'll work closely with the QA Architect to modernize the testing approach, streamline manual workflows, and detect defects earlier in the development lifecycle.
  • The ideal candidate has a strong development mindset, can quickly understand complex business logic, and is comfortable working across multiple technologies and frameworks.

Must-Have Skills

  • 8+ years of experience as a Software Developer or SDET
  • Strong programming skills in Java, C#, .NET, JavaScript, or TypeScript
  • Proven experience creating automation frameworks integrated with CI/CD pipelines
  • Solid understanding of REST API testing
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools
  • Mandatory FinTech/Financial Services experience
  • Strong database validation skills (SQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Ability to interpret business logic (e.g., ledger or transaction validation) and convert it into test scenarios
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt across tech stacks

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of tickets and define appropriate test strategies
  • Work closely with developers to understand functionality, workflows, and risk areas
  • Build and maintain automation tests for user flows, APIs, and mid-layer components
  • Investigate and resolve flaky test issues tied to environment or code changes
  • Create automation that provides early feedback in CI/CD environments
  • Align testing tools and frameworks with the application's tech stack
  • Serve as a technical partner to developers and contribute at the code level
