Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong understanding of the food industry. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for processing transactions efficiently while ensuring a positive experience for our customers. Your role will also involve maintaining the cleanliness of the service area and assisting with various tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Process customer transactions accurately using the Toast POS system.
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing their needs.
  • Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision and care.
  • Ensure compliance with food handling and safety regulations while maintaining cleanliness in the work area.
  • Assist in bussing tables and maintaining an organized dining environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
  • Manage time effectively to handle busy periods while maintaining quality service.
  • Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a culinary or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with restaurant operations, including food safety standards and retail math, is advantageous.
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic setting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and colleagues.
