Job Description

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Team in Rochester, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your visible presence and routine patrols will help to deter security-related incidents while you deliver exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide outstanding customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including interior spaces and the surrounding perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or conditions to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required by site procedures.
  • Support emergency response activities, including assisting with evacuations or medical emergencies, in accordance with site-specific protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and location procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
