QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Graduate or a GED equivalent and demonstrate ability to perform job duties.
- Experience working in an Adult Residential Facility
- DSP certificate or ability to obtain within required timelines.
- Clear DOJ/FBI Background check
- First Aid/CPR, Physical, and TB Test
- California State Driver's License and reliable transportation
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete on-site orientation within first 40 hours of employment.
- Complete 8 hours per year of continuing education.
- Provide supervision for the welfare of the consumer.
- Foster growth of the consumer through caring and nurturing attitude.
- Maintains good physical and mental health.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak in English.
Knowledge of abuse and moral and ethical issues involved.
- Supervise and/or provide training in the areas of self-help, behavioral modification, social skills, independent living skills, community integration, and healthcare needs.
- General housekeeping duties including but not limited too; changing bedding, laundering, food preparation according to the menu, kitchen clean up, overall cleaning and sanitation of facility.
- Dispense medications to consumers following medication procedures.
- Attend all mandatory training sessions, in-service training, and mandatory meetings.
- ISP/IPP implementation and data collection.
- Other duties as specified by the administrator.
