Organizational Relationship

  1. Reports to General Manager

Principle Purpose of the Job

To ensure that the club is kept at a high standard of cleanliness. The housekeeping position has the following responsibilities but is not limited to the following and may change at the General Manager's discretion.

Responsibilities

  1. To ensure that tennis courts/stairs are swept and free from yellow ball fuzz.

  2. To tip equipment that is under 30 pounds and vacuum underneath.

  3. Wipe down exercise equipment.

  4. Vacuum all floor surfaces and mop rubber flooring when necessary.

  5. Refill all dispensers

  6. Refill spray bottles

  7. Do laundry.

  8. Clean locker rooms including showers, toilet, and floors.

  9. Follow routine maintenance schedule as assigned.

  10. Wash windows and mirrors on a regular schedule as assigned.

  11. Clean all vents on the assigned schedule.

  12. Clean fans on the assigned schedule.

  13. Empty trash

  14. Clean all counter surfaces.

  15. Maintain cleaning inventory and order supplies through the purchasing agent when needed.

  16. Do additional project that would include but not limited to wiping out lockers.

Responsibilities to General Manager

  1. Attend required meetings

  2. Provide the General Manager with consistent, honest feedback regarding club issues

  3. Inform the General Manager of priorities of concern in the club.

  4. Always maintain Confidentiality regarding ideas, brainstorming, and personnel matters.

  5. Carry out any additional tasks as directed by the General Manager

Other

  1. Expected to maintain a professional appearance in personal presentation, hygiene, attire and demeanor. Uniform should be neat and clean and within the specific dress code of the club.

  2. Expected to maintain a regular work schedule and inform supervisor or any necessary changes.

  3. Expected to arrive at work on the agreed upon time.

  4. Expected to establish an on-going rapport and be on a first name basis with as many members as possible.

  5. Expected to engage with members and co-workers while keeping conversations short to accomplish workload in a timely manner.

  6. Expected to report broken, dysfunctional or hazardous conditions to the Facilities Department.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  1. Demonstrate and implement strong organizational and time management skills

  2. Demonstrate an ability to give excellent customer service

  3. Maintain work attitudes and behaviors that promote a positive work environment.

  4. Adhere to the policies of Bellingham Training and Tennis Club

Education and Qualifications

  1. High School Diploma

  2. 2-4 years of cleaning experience

  3. Ability to clock in and out using our Club Automation.

Physical Capabilities

  1. Tolerance for extended periods of exposure to video terminal and keyboard

  2. Tolerance for extended periods of time for sitting and or standing

  3. Ability to lift 50 pounds

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $26.14 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 35 per week
