is seeking a
Network Engineer II
to design, configure, and implement enterprise-level data and voice networks for a leading
healthcare
organization located in the
Greater Baltimore area
. This
full-time hybrid role
requires
two onsite days per week
and serves as the
networking subject matter expert
, providing guidance across project teams to ensure timely delivery of secure, reliable networking and unified communications solutions.
Responsibilities of the Network Engineer II Include:
- Assist with planning, design, and implementation of large enterprise network and unified communications solutions.
- Collaborate with project teams to refine requirements and deliver networking/UC solutions.
- Provide Tier-3 technical support for networking and UC issues with a strong customer service focus.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical design documentation for proposed and implemented solutions.
- Partner with Solutions Architects for technical evaluations and vendor selection.
- Support Network and UC Operations Teams by facilitating service transitions and process development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications of the Network Engineer II Include:
- Minimum 10 years managing and supporting large enterprise network environments, including LAN/WAN design, planning, documentation, and implementation.
- Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or CWNA preferred.
Technical Expertise:
Network security technologies: Cisco Sourcefire IDPS, FTD; Zscaler; Cisco ISE; Palo Alto NGFWs; Palo Alto GPVPN; Meraki; Cisco ACI; SilverPeak SD-WAN.
- S2S VPN configuration and maintenance.
- Cisco hardware (6500/4500/Nexus 2K, 5K, 7K, 9K; 2800/2900/4300 series).
- Advanced IP routing protocols: EIGRP, BGP, OSPF.
- WAN/Internet circuit configuration and inter-data center connectivity.
- Packet capture tools (Wireshark) and network performance analysis.
- TCP/IP protocols and common application protocols.
Cisco wireless (Meraki), SolarWinds, and preferred experience with F5 LTM.
Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to multitask, vendor management experience, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation of the Network Engineer II Includes:
- Salary Range: $100, $125,000.00 per year, based on experience and certifications.
