The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our organization meets the requirements of the NIST800-171 framework and the CMMC Program. The Compliance Engineer role will be focused on ensuring IT assets, systems, and services meet legal and regulatory requirements.The ideal candidate will be proficient in digital data gathering and analysis techniques, including expertise with computers, networks, end-point devices, various operating systems, and mobile devices. An understanding of security controls that protect an organization's systems and networks, with a focus on NIST compliance is paramount. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in general governance, compliance, and audit concepts, and will be skilled in applying risk management principles, assessments, and metrics.As SNC's corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications.Responsibilities:Collaborates with the Control Owner(s) for the collection of evidence in support of compliance requirementsAssists or implements remediations when gaps or non-compliant controls are identified.Partners with Control Owner(s) and Cybersecurity Analysts to update control documentation. Establish test standards, conduct tests, and analyze results. Identify areas to improve audit gaps, productivity, and compliance, including automation opportunities. Support IT operations teams to assess and fix security vulnerabilities, gaps, and weaknesses across IT infrastructure. Assist and participates with internal and external compliance audits.Qualifications You Must Have:Bachelor's Degree in a related field with at least 2 or more years of relevant experienceHigher education may substitute for relevant experienceRelevant experience may be considered in lieu of required educationExperience participating in audits and assessments.Understanding cybersecurity principles and best practices as is relates to industry compliance standards.Knowledge of security protocols, encryption, and data protection.Familiarity with identity management to include Microsoft Active Directory and Azure EntraExperience with compliance reporting tools and methodologies.Experience with Endpoint EngineeringQualifications We Prefer:Familiarity with networking and firewall solutions.Familiarity with NIST 800-171 and the CMMC ProgramFamiliarity with IRM tools, such as ServiceNowFamiliarity with virtual machines, storage, cloud and compute solutions.Familiarity with desktop and server operating systems, including MDM solutions.This posting will be open for application for a minimum of 5 days and may be extended based on business needs.SNC offers a generous benefit package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) with 150% match up to 6%, life insurance, 3 weeks paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and .IMPORTANT NOTICE: This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants.
