Retail Operations Support Specialist

About the Role

We're looking for a highly organized and proactive Retail Operations Support Specialist to support our Fireworks Supermarket locations during both seasonal and year-round operations. This role plays a critical behind-the-scenes part in keeping stores running smoothly by coordinating logistics, cash handling support, inventory processes, equipment tracking, and administrative needs.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate seasonal logistics, including scheduling deliveries, appointments, and operational support for retail locations.
• Ensure stores receive required licenses, permits, inspections, and posted compliance documents to operate.
• Coordinate delivery and distribution of seasonal operational supplies such as signage, price cards, and marketing materials.
• Support cash and financial logistics by coordinating extra drawer money during peak seasons.
• Ensure stores have necessary banking materials, including deposit slips, deposit bags, and clear processes for deposits.
• Provide inventory and data entry support, including entering damaged goods reports and processing store transfer orders.
• Maintain and distribute up-to-date inventory sheets, pricing sheets, product descriptions, and item catalogs.
• Receive product for seasonal stores into inventory systems as needed.
• Track retail equipment life cycles, including registers, scanners, printers, and other store technology.
• Flag equipment nearing end-of-life and assist with coordinating replacements or updates.
• Track rental versus owned equipment by store location.
• Manage store resource distribution, ensuring all locations receive correct signage, posters, coupon materials, and marketing updates.
• Maintain simple distribution checklists and follow up with stores to confirm receipt.
• Serve as a first point of contact for repeatable, operational support requests from store managers.
• Provide managers with updated documents, tools, and resources needed for daily operations.
• Maintain organized internal files, including inventory versions, equipment logs, and permit tracking.

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of experience in retail operations, administrative support, logistics, or inventory coordination preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in related area, required.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organization and follow-through skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and seasonal demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset when supporting store teams.
• Proficiency with basic data entry, spreadsheets, and operational systems (ERP or POS experience a plus).
• Dependable, team-oriented, and comfortable working behind the scenes to support store success.
