We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Irrigation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution for gardens, lawns, and other landscaped environments. This role requires a strong mechanical mindset, hands-on problem-solving skills, and a passion for helping landscapes thrive through efficient water use.

Compensation & Schedule

  • Starting Pay: $56,000 per year (~$26.90/hour)
  • Paid bi-weekly
  • Full-time, Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and set up irrigation systems, including sprinklers, drip lines, valves, and pumps
  • Diagnose and repair issues such as leaks, clogs, electrical malfunctions, and uneven coverage
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks and ensure systems run efficiently
  • Dig trenches and lay piping with precision, restoring landscape after installation
  • Collaborate with landscape crews to integrate irrigation seamlessly into maintenance and install projects
  • Educate clients on irrigation best practices and promote water conservation
  • Use hand and power tools to build, modify, or upgrade systems as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on irrigation installation and troubleshooting experience
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of pumps, valves, timers, and various irrigation components
  • Experience using tools safely and effectively in outdoor environments
  • Valid driver's license with clean record
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs regularly and work in all weather conditions
  • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with a team-oriented mindset

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Irrigation Technician
  • Experience with landscape lighting installation or repair
  • Prior experience managing or training a small crew
  • Proficiency in general landscape maintenance practices
