Senior Ordering Specialist

Position Overview:

Join NIRA, INC., a rapidly expanding women-owned small business at the forefront of aviation technology. We are seeking an exceptional Ordering Specialist to support transformative projects at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Be part of a mission that not only advances technology but also ensures the safety, security and efficiency of U.S. aviation on a grand scale. The Ordering Specialist will work with FAA programs and the prime vendor to place and track service orders accurately.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinate network service order requests with engineering, finance, and contracts teams
  • Work with systems engineers to create cost estimates and coordinate with finance team to ensure availability of funding and timely placement of funds on the contract
  • Collaborate with customers and the on-ramping team to create ordering packages and process all orders
  • Work collaboratively with the contracts team to develop all necessary contractual documents
  • Work with prime network vendor ordering service to ensure accuracy of request and assist in any revisions and negotiations between the FAA and the prime vendor
  • Create and maintain ordering tracking sheets and prepare briefings when needed to bring status updates to all stakeholders

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, and proven work experience placing or coordinating complex contract or service orders in information technology field
  • Extensive federal acquisition experience
  • Strong data analysis, program evaluation and management, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Ability to effectively prioritize, execute tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Desired Experience:

  • Knowledge of the federal government, especially FAA procurement processes
  • Experience working for a national network provider in the acquisition or accounting team
