Director of Admissions

The Admissions Director is responsible for overseeing the admissions process, ensuring a seamless and compassionate transition for residents and their families.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing admission-related staff and ensuring all protocols and procedures are rigorously followed.
  • Providing comprehensive information about the facility's services and programs.
  • Conducting facility tours, discussing financial options, and coordinating with medical teams to assess the specific needs of incoming residents.
  • Collaborating with rehabilitation professionals and technology vendors to evaluate residents' mobility, assistance, and rehabilitation needs.
  • Staying current in industry standards and policies and integrating expertise in understanding regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrating excellent organizational and communication skills and building rapport with residents and families through listening and effective follow-up.
  • Ensuring the facility is safe and efficient, and promoting safety by following infection control and universal precautions.
  • Developing and providing direction for the inquiry and admission process for the facility.

The following qualifications are required:

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in business administration, health administration, marketing, or a related field is often preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in long-term care or skilled nursing
  • Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills are essential
